THE FOUNDER DEPENDENCY DIAGNOSTIC

Find out where your business still depends on you

Your business has grown, but some of the systems underneath it may not have caught up.

Decisions still come back to you. Handoffs need chasing. New clients depend on someone remembering the next step. And getting a clear answer on what is stuck can mean asking several people.

The Founder Dependency Diagnostic is a focused review of one important part of your business to identify where that dependency sits, why it keeps happening and what to fix first.

SYSTEM ASSESSMENT

This is for you if...

Critical workflows:

01

Client delivery

02

Team handoffs

03

Reporting and operational visibility

04

Customer onboarding

05

Sales-to-delivery handoff

06

Internal approvals or decision-making

07

Any recurring process that pulls you back in.

Usually, this is a founder-led business with paying customers, a growing team, and operational complexity that has started to outgrow the informal way things used to work.

SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC

What we look at

We choose one workflow or client flow that matters and follow it as it actually works today.

The purpose is not to audit your entire company.

It is to identify the part of the system creating the most unnecessary founder involvement and use that as the starting point.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS

What the Diagnostic includes

The Diagnostic combines founder input, workflow review and targeted team input to show where work is getting stuck and why it keeps coming back to you.

1. Founder Session

A 60-minute conversation to understand the workflow, where the friction is showing up and what currently depends on you.

2. Workflow Review

We compare how the work actually happens with how it is supposed to happen and identify gaps, workarounds and unclear handoffs.

3. Team Input

Where useful, I speak with up to two team members to understand where ownership, decisions or information become unclear.

4. Systems & Info Audit

We look at the relevant tools, documents and information flow to identify where context is being lost or work is becoming harder than it needs to be.

5. Dependency Mapping

I map the points where work slows down, loops back, loses ownership or relies unnecessarily on founder intervention.

6. 30-Day Roadmap

You get a prioritised sequence of practical actions showing what to address first, what can wait and where quick wins may exist.

Scope & Integrity

What you walk away with

A clear picture of what is creating the dependency, and what to do next.

What This Is Not

If the real problem turns out to sit outside my lane, I will tell you rather than stretch the engagement into work I should not be doing.

You keep the roadmap whether we work together again or not.
THE DIAGNOSTIC DIFFERENCE

What is the difference between the self-audit and the Diagnostic?

Free Self-Audit

Paid Diagnostic

A self-audit can tell you that founder dependency may exist. It cannot show you why it is happening inside your specific workflow. The Diagnostic looks at how work actually moves through the business: where it slows down, where ownership becomes unclear, where decisions loop back to you and which changes are most worth making.

The Diagnostic Take the free 10-minute self-audit

You are not paying for a score. You are paying for a considered look at your business and a practical decision about what to fix first.
